LaGrange County Parks host free Fall Forest School at Delt Church Park for students ages 6 through 12; all told, the five-day series guides attendees to explore and appreciate the connections between people and the environment. Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve’s “Discover the Art of Forest Bathing” summer sessions led by certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guides in Fishers are open to anyone over 18.

Simply strike out at your own pace for a leisurely walk on any of Indiana’s picturesque trails, taking time to slow down and breathe in the fresh air and gorgeous scenery. Some of most soul-soothing options include the lush tree canopy and honeycombed sandstone caves of Hemlock Cliffs in the Hoosier National Forest, the rustic wetlands habitat and wildlife viewing at Beanblossom Bottoms Nature Preserve near Bloomington, and the waterfalls and dense vegetation of Rocky Hollow Falls Canyon Nature Preserve at Turkey Run State Park.
