Goats are incredibly cute creatures and fun to be around—goat yoga is a thing for a reason. And one way to enjoy some time hanging with the kids is by participating in goat walking at Creme de la Crop in Valparaiso.

This farm has a market where you can purchase food items, flowers, and plants along with the Creme de la Crop line of skin care products, candles, and more. And they have goats! The schedule is open for goat walking and you can reserve a time on a Monday, Wednesday, or Saturday to visit with the goats and take them for a walk around the property. The cost is $5 per person for goat walking and that gets you not just time with the goats, but also a $5 voucher to spend on products in the market.
Goat walking is available for those ages 6 and older. Younger kids are able to accompany their family but not walk the goats themselves. If your time for a walk is canceled due to weather, there will be an alternate time the following week to return.

Feeding the goats is also permitted but only during regular market hours. Visitors are even welcome to bring their own fruits and vegetables to feed the goats, but they must check in at the market first. No grains are permitted as they can upset the goats’ stomachs!
