INDIANAPOLIS (April 30, 2026) – The Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC) is proud to join communities nationwide in celebrating National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW), May 3–9, 2026. Visit Indiana Week runs in conjunction with NTTW annually and highlights the travel industry’s vital contribution to the economy.

In Indiana, the travel industry continues to deliver significant economic value. According to our most recent data, tourism generated $3.2 billion in state and local tax revenue, fueling local businesses and supporting long-term growth. Indiana welcomed 83.3 million visitors who contributed more than $16.9 billion in spending across our communities.

“Tourism is an essential part of Indiana’s identity, driving economic growth and showcasing our state as a premier destination for both visitors and residents,” said Amy Howell, CEO of IDDC. “To mark this year’s Visit Indiana Week, IDDC is highlighting premier venues across the state where people can enjoy concerts, a Broadway play and other experiences for free.”
