Every creation at The Clay Plant is so vibrant it almost feels alive. Everything in the studio is created by Courtney and Austin. Their partnership began in 2017 and continues to grow as they explore new ideas. Austin throws all the forms, and Courtney does glazing and painting.

Beginnings

Back to Top of List

Courtney and Austin found their passion for pottery in middle school. They both beam with joy as they talk about their parts in creating the beautiful pieces around them. Courtney’s graphic design and marketing background and Austin’s technology background come together to create unique, functional artwork in clay.

Pottery class

The community of The Clay Plant is very important to Courtney and Austin. The artists love hosting classes and seasonal events. They bring local vendors and makers together for a Makers Market during the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival.
