As you drive into the Duneland Beach area en route to Farina’s Supper Club, you may think for a minute that you’ve gotten lost. You’re in a residential area with no businesses in sight. But then you come to the lovely historic structure that was once the Duneland Beach Inn. Now a charming fine dining spot reminiscent of an old-school steakhouse or supper club, this inviting spot gives definite vacation vibes. It’s located at Stop 33 along the Dunes, just a short walk from the Lake Michigan shoreline.

The neighborhood is quiet and relaxed and inside, it’s a throwback to a time of sophisticated luxury when you dressed up and dined out, listened to Frank Sinatra tunes, sipped on martinis and filled up on hearty Italian cuisine. It’s friendly, lively, and delicious.
The restaurant includes a space for outdoor dining, an intimate bar area and a dedicated cigar patio.
Start your culinary adventure with one of the classic appetizers, like shrimp cocktail, sausage and peppers, calamari or stuffed mushrooms. The star of the starters is the Oceans 11 Eggplant Stack, made with layers of fresh mozzarella and plum tomatoes drizzled with balsamic and filled in with an herb-breaded eggplant.

Steaks, chops, chicken, and pasta make up a good part of the menu, with rotating seafood specials. Get a nice sampling of Chef Joe’s specialties with the Old Neighborhood Platter, which includes his famous homemade meatballs, braciola and Italian sausage over house-made cavatelli with tomato wine sauce.

Speaking of wine, they’ve got quite the list of wines from around the world to choose from, along with seasonal craft beers, small-batch bourbons, single-malt scotches and boozy after-dinner drinks. For more information, go to farinasupperclub.com.
